A few years back, actually five years ago, I found a book in a Bible store in New York City. One of the chapters was called "Letters From Arristis" The were a series of letters written by a father to each of his six sons. I misplaced that book. I wonder if anyone has ever heard of it? Or would know where I could find it again.

The "father's" letters instructed each son on how to live his life. It was very interesting reading. In fact, it was an excellent read.

I thought at first you may have been referring to one of the Apocrypha.

These additional writings, not part of the accepted Bible Cannon are Tobit, Judith, Wisdom (of Solomon), Ecclesiasticus (not Ecclesiastes), Baruch, 1 and 2 Maccabees, supplements to Esther, and three additions to Daniel: The Song of the Three Holy Children, Susanna and the Elders, and The Destruction of Bel and the Dragon.

None of these sound like the one you mention, so the book you refer to could not have been a "Bible" book.

I wonder if you could mean the writings of the philosopher Aristus?
I cannot help you find these, but I have heard of them and believe there were six documents.....

Sorry, there is no such book in the Bible. If this was a Catholic book store, it may have been written by one of the saints, but it is not a book in the Bible.

There is an old Jewish writing called "The Letter of Aristeas", but it does not match the description you provided.
