I have two really good friends that are starting to like each other. My guy friend had been inviting my girl friend to his church every Sunday and she is considering converting. She knows even less than I do about his faith which is virtually nothing. However we are both aware that her moral values are completely opposed to those of his church as she is very liberal and his church is extremely conservative. I've tried talking to her about it, but she keeps insisting that his church just feels "more right" than hers. I just have this feeling that what feels so much "more right" to her is the fact that he holds her hand during the service.

You mean there is a right reason for choosing to convert to a hateful, intolerant religion??

I agree that it is a bad reason for choosing a religion, but she has to start somewhere- encourage her to study more on it before she jumps into it head first. It would be better for her that way there are no surprises down the road.
You are a good friend for keeping after her and telling her how you feel. Dont be discouraged if she doesnt listen right away, sometimes it takes a while for words to really sink in. Good luck.

True it sounds like she may have some negative intentions on converting, but sometimes the Holy Spirit will use these types of circumstances to move in someones heart. I started going to church when I started dating this Christian guy, and my morals weere NOTHING like his, or the Bibles, and I had no idea about pretty much anything. After we broke up, God had moved so much in my heart, that I didn't stop going to church or building my relationship. The guy ended up being a jerk, but I knew that God has used him to bring me to church, and I am so much better for it.

You can't live other people's lives for them. She has to make her own decisions and yes, some time's she's going to fall on her face but perhaps this is the right church for her. It is not your call to make in either case.

If it is a right decision or wrong decision on her part, it is not your call to decide. Just be there for her through the road may change soon for her.

You should never go to church for the other person and she should be going to church to please God not just herself.
God should be first in her life not the person she is going with.

It's her decision to make. Live your life how you see fit, and let her do the same.
We all need to learn our own way.

a person's belief system is very hard to change, as long as they preach Jesus as savior then it can't be all bad.If you feel that they are distorting God's word, then pray for her every nite

Reasons are relative. She could have worse reasons. If it doesn't work out, they she can always change religions again.
