I have a mustang that was salvaged and now has been fixed. but you have to send off for a title wich could take 7 to 10 days. and i was wondering if i could go to the licens bureau and get tags if i showed proof of the inspection and all. Or, do you have to wait for the tags?... does anyone no?

Probably depends on your state. Somes states do not require titles on vehicles over 10 yrs or so. You didn't specify what year the car is. But, if the car is newer than I would say you will need a title. Whether the title says rebuilt, salvage etc..

Depends on the state. In some a salvage vehicle is parts only, and can never get a tag. In others you can get it back on the road, but only after the state has declared it roadworthy after an expensive investigation. Call the DMV and ask what the rules are for you.

I recenlty got a salvage title for a motorcycle, here in PA. In PA you haveto get a special inspection and form, mail it off to the DOT and wait 5 weeks! Got my title finally. Bike rides great. Good luck...I expect you need to mail it in.

depends on the state you are in. I would suggest you go to your local DMV office with all your papers including the repair and inspection and let them tell you what to do
