her bathroom time should be as it always has been......if this is a new dog then give her 10 minutes out side ignor her its not play time it is potty time, then if she doesn't go, wait for about an hour and try again keep doing it until she goes.
I want to say great job on getting your dog fixed awesome owners like you is what makes this world a better place.

I give him a good walk around a couple of blocks about 20 minutes. He'll pee instantly along the way but I have to get him moving at least 5 minutes before he potties. He goes once or twice each walk. I try to get him out twice a day unless the weather is bad. If he misses a walk he'll go 3 or 4 time and maybe in the house.

Since she was just spayed, I'd definitely get the pee mats and put them either by the door, or a place that she feels you can't see her (ie: behind furniture if there's room).
If she's up to it, take her out every hour. If she doesn't go in 5 min I'd take her in, and make sure not to praise her in anyway if she doesn't go, but load her up with love if she does.
You can't wait outside for like 30 min because she will learn she can take her time and smell the smells and have fun outside, and then potty if she feels like it.
On a side note, be sure she's not getting dehydrated. I had to pretty much spoon feed water to my puppy after we got her spayed for the first day.

10 min outside max, (No playing),
then back inside, don't scold or anything, then wait around an hour, during that time keep a close eye on her. Then back outside again for @ 10 min with lots of good girls when she does what she is supposed to do, oh yeah make sure you praise her when she if finished going potty.
A Lab chihuahua mix really?

wait until she goes. do not bring her in until she goes. if you do then she will never learn to be hosue trained. take her outside and use a certain word for going to the bathroom. i use the word outside and i wont let them back in until they go potty.
