Sounds really horrible and sad, but it's her decision. When and if she is ready to put him in a home she will.

Gosh, that's a hard situation. I don't know what I would do. What does she want? I think it is best for her and him to take him to a home where he can be cared for properly. She and the kids can still visit him a lot. But I would argue that she should get remarried. She needs someone who will support her and the children. Now he needs more care than a baby does, and he will never grow out of it. He is not the same man who she married. She still loves him, and people should know it is not easy to give him up, but it's not easy taking care of him like that either. Even if she stays married and takes care of him she still lost him. The only way to get over her pain of losing him is to find someone who can help her and give her what he would have given her. I'm sure he would want for her to live her life to it's fullest and be happy with someone who can love and take care of her.

Most people also don't understand that it is a tragedy and the people who handle these things have such a insurmountable life of love. My sister raised 9 children one of them has cerebral palsy. This boy is 21 years old now. Her children all of them have turned into really great kids. They all tried help, they all id their best. I admire my baby sister...she is an icredible human being. So yes...I think I would keep this person home with me until I find that I can't take anymore...strange how my sister hasn't had enough...after 21 years...of diaper changing and incredible patience.

That's a hard place to be, I don't know what I would do if it were me, BUT if it were my freind I would be there to help and suport her and let HER make her own decision, she doesn't need pushed now she needs a FREINDS support. Do what freinds do, just be there for her....don't talk listen,it's not your decision it's hers and to me it sounds like an impossiable one,how does she live with herself no matter what she does? LISTEN! Be her FREIND!
