We have a 2 year old English Bulldog. We never board him. We have left him with family members and a very dependable friend. I also would not recommend boarding a dog especially a puppy. There are so many chances you take boarding them at that age. Have you thought about kennel cough? at 11 weeks he hasn't had all of his shots. Thats another risk.

One week???
Your dog will NOT forget you in just one week. Fear not. What we and our friends always do, is have a friend come over every day to take care of him. That way, not only will it be much cheaper, but the dog will be more comfortable. Not only will he be in his normal home, but he will know the people taking care of him, at least somewhat. He can also guard your house while you are gone. You could even have neighbor kids take care of him every day. $5 would make them rich, and you would hardly miss it. Much different than boarding, which not only costs a lot, but uproots and confuses the dog.
Good Luck!
And happy vacation!

Personally, I would never recommend boarding a puppy of that age. It's not that he will not be taken care of well, I just do not think that's a good environment for a puppy that age. There are too many possible diseases etc that his developing immune system could become exposed to- even though he's vaccinated.
Do you have a friend/family member who could dog sit?

He will NOT forget you and the safest place for him to be boarded is at his vet's. Leave him - he'll be fine - dogs are boarded all the time with no ill effects.

In my opinion, you should NEVER board a dog. I have had my dog for 9 years now, and he has never been to a kenel. He comes with me whenever possible, and when he can't, I get a pet-sitter. They are easy to find. If you don't have a friend or family member who is willing to stay with him at your home, check out a pet-sitting web site like: http://www.petsit.com/locate.asp (Pet Sitters Int.)
