AFter I jogged for about 10 minutes, the next day my shins hurt. I stretched, but i guess i di dn't do the right stretches What stretches are good for pre-shin running??

It sounds like shin splints. Ice and rest.

It sounds like shin splints..., best thing to do is to get good supportive ankle braceing like high tops and a very comfortable sole. Jog or run on soft dirt or grass instead of hard pavement. Have Fun! :)

Toe tapping. Shin splints are a common side effect from running. Stand straight and continuosly tap foot, one at a time until it burns. Continue doing this everyday.

Stretch your calves before and after running and every other day.
The toe tapping idea before running, is a good one, as it warms up the muscle in the front of the legs (tibialis anterior). Also stretch these muscles when doing the calves as a maintenance. It creates balance around the ankle joint.
