Realize that six months from now whatever happened will not be as big of a deal. Avoid him and find something else to occupy your mind. I was once obsessed with an ex-boyfriend and I made a pact to my parents and friends that every time I said his name I had to pay them a $1. I gradually stopped saying his name and stopped thinking about him so much. You might think about counseling, too.

Would be interesting to know what do you mean by scaring him. Has he showed signs that he got a girlfriend already? If not, invite him to walk you home or have a cuppa. If he accepts your invitation that means he has a liking for you. Work on the relationship from there!

Im not gonna tell you the right man will come along. But I will tell you that you need to take care of you. By that I mean get a life. Then everything else will fall into place.

Patience is a virtue. Whatever you did to scare him, apologize for it if you haven't already and back off. Give him his space and if he is in anyway attracted to you, maybe he will come around. It happened for me, I had to move on first to get the guy, but in the end I got him.
