I'm 32 and would love to get the clear removable braces. My dentist doesn't think they are wise because "most people don't keep them in, they cost more and take longer to work" I don't want visible metal braces at my age. Has anyone used the clear ones? How much roughly do they cost? thanks.

my coworker has been using them for about 10 months. she had slight crookedness and wanted her teeth to be perfectly in line. she has about 6 monthsto go. they have been working great and she really likes them. it will cost her about $3,000 all said and done but she is happy with them. she needs to have her teeth reexamined regularly to have new ones fitted but she doesn't regret it or mind it. she is 41.
BUT IN HER OPINION INVISALIGN IS PROBABLY NOT FOR THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE.
if you are mature enough to pay for them, use them exactly how it is describedto you and never lose them then get them but otherwise you should probably get traditional braces. if the option is available to you, perhaps you can use a retainer.
if your teeth are really crooked the Invisalign braces would probably be a bit tedious, take too long, cost too much and maybe dissapoint you.
Good luck on making a well informed decision and try to find more reviews in an invisalign forum (you can find forums and reviews for nearly anything on the internet.

Invisalign are those clear plasticy trays that you pop in and can barely notice. They are generally more expensive and can only fix minor teeth misalignments. If you don't want the visable metal braces, there is always the ceramic alternative.
Ceramic braces cost only a few hundred (at most) more than their metal counterpart, and are visually more appealing. They match the teeth color very well and the only thing you can see is the arch-wire. Ceramic braces, however, do still use the bracketing system, so they will protrude slightly from the teeth.
If your case is doable in Invisalign and you have the funds, go for it. If your case is a little bit more difficult, or if you want the whole process to be quicker, or if you want to save some money, go for the metal/ceramic braces.

When you break down the cost, the Invisalign isn't always more than braces.

You can go to Invisalign's website and get a list of local dentists/orthodontists that use Invisalign and make an appointment to determine whether you are a suitable candidate.

If you are just slightly crowded, you may be a candidate for Invisalign Express. It doesn't take as long as the regular Invisalign treatment because there are fewer trays. The cost is lower, also.

I may be a lot younger then you but trust me; the clear ones are not the way to go! I've had the clear ones and I took advantage of having the ability to take them out and put them back in. I lost them one day and it was a real waste of money. I now have had the metal ones for a month and my teeth are already really straight. When I had the clear ones for two-months and in that amount of time they were only half as straight. You would have them in for about an average two years if you had the metal ones.

I wouldn't recommend them. They are a pain and can discolor easily if you don't brush your teeth after every meal and also can smell really bad if you put them back in after eating without brushing your teeth right away. If you don't want metal braces talk to your orthodontist about Ceramic Braces, they are a lot less noticable and work the same as traditional metal braces. They also normally cost about the same price.

invisiline is like $8000 last time I checked
I would say get those because of your age.

Regular braces you can get them almost clear but you can't eat certain thing because it will stain them, They are noticeable, but not like the metal ones and they are only $4000

My sister went onlins and found an insurance name ThePeople something and that reduced her price to half.

Ever thought about just getting Venneers, One day and your perfect, they start at $300 TO $500 a piece, ( I'm in the process of getting those)

The metal ones work faster! They actually aren't that bad once you get them. Plus being 32, you don't have to worry about the kids teasing you!

look, i know what i'm talking about, my father is a dentist. Invisalign can not be used if your teeth are dramatically out of place. They are better for the person who needs minor adjustments to their teeth. You will also need to take them out everything you want to eat.
