Ask him out to a movie or something.
If he likes you too, then he will want to go with you.
there is nothing wrong with you liking a younger man but when you are 18 and he is 16 his hormones will be raging and he will be jail bait. Be careful of what you cause this young man to think.
Boys his age do not have a firm grasp on the realities and differences between love and infatuation.

It is normal, I've liked guys 2 grades lower than me also,
but I don't really know what to say...
If he likes you back, then you could go out with him without a lot of people knowing about it. (so people won't make a big deal about it) Or you could wait another year to like him so it won't be so akward dating a freshman.

when it comes to matters of the heart, it doesnt matter what your age is. you two are 2 or so years apart, and thats no alot. its no big deal, if you like him as much as you say you do, then just go for it and dont let age be a factor. good luck!

right now it seems like a big difference. but when you're in your 20's and then 30's and 40's.. it's really not a big difference. so go for it
