Cats are usually in heat I think over the summer months till about september time. You will soon know if they are !! If you have not had him / her spayed be careful about letting them out they will do what they can to get out and can stray over several miles to try and find a mate but its virtually impossible to keep them in ! If like mine you have a female you may find all the local male cats waiting outside your front door and fighting for her affections !

well when they are in heat they meow alot and so loud it almost sounds like a baby crying. But if you plan on getting her sprayed, she needs to mate with another cat first to get it out of her system because if you don't it can change their attitudes quick to angry all the time. Mad at you even

If your cat is Female then she can go into heat.
Usually she'll start meowing ALOT more than normal and also more LOUDLY.
DO NOT LET HER OUTSIDE, while she is in heat or she WILL get pregnant.
The best thing you can do is get her Spayed...No more Heat, No pregnancy, No Kittens.

If you don't already keep her inside, now's the time to start. Call your vet and ask them when the best time to spay her will be. Your vet may want to wait until she is out of heat, so do it as soon after that as you can. : )

You need to give them fixed....it does cost money; however, it is worth it so that one can sleep at night. My cat was in sooooo much heat that none of us could sleep because of her meowing constantly and as soon as we got her fixed, it all came to a hault.

You can help her by having her spayed. Contact the local animal shelter for referrals to low-cost spay/neuter clinics in your area.
