My teenage daughter wants to paint her room green to give it a preppy feel. Does anyone have the name of a good color of green paint to go with a hot pink bedspread?

Lime green might look nice. Bright enough to burn out your corneas, but nice.

Try Sage (I think that's a Crayola color) or Jade. I wouldn't paint my room an "out-there" color though, because who knows.. maybe next week "yellow" is the new "pink", and maybe that certain shade of yellow won't mix well with your green walls. I'd opt for a more subtle shade, like cream -- or get white beddings, and paint the walls either a lovely shade of lavender, light pink, or light blue (but not combined!).

Or, if your daughter REALLY wants a green room to go with her bedspread, go to your local Lowes/Home Depot (or even Walmart) and they'll have little paint sample cards. She could decide what color she likes best. :) *make sure to take a picture of the bedspread and bring it with you, if you want to make sure the color combo is absolutely perfect*

Lime green and hot pink would look great together... Just make certain to add some lime green cushions to the bed to bring it all together and a dash of white in the room (curtains or cushions or decorating accessories) to tone down both the hot pink and the green... When choosing the paint color, make certain that the name has two names to it... like lime popsicle, carribean lime... the reason is this: paint names with 2 names are complex colors and paint names with just 1 name are simplex. Simplex colors look cheaper and you're putting it with hot pink so you don't want a cheap looking room.

On the wall where the bed is going to be, paint it lime green.. And you can get some corkboard, paint it black and cut into funky shapes (such as starts) so she can put them on the wall and pin up pictures.

Another thing you could do is paint the walls a nice turquoise and have lime green pillows on her bed.

Go for a good mint green. I have bright pink walls and a mint green bedspread lol, and it looks really nice.

I think a light green would be best, so that the room isn't taken over my too many bright colors.

any shade of green. Olive will look good. Hunter....it depends on what you are looking to do. I have seen some great Chicky Camo rooms where they are hunter, olive, taupe and hot pink! Very trendy!
