Is it true that eventually after plucking your eyebrows that the hairs will grow back thinner/finer and it also takes longer for it to grow back?
I've heard lots of people on here saying that eventually after years the plucked hairs will be so fine that you will not even need to pluck them anymore. Im asking because there are a few stray hairs near the centre of my eyebrows and so plucking it seems good. I don't need to wax it because it's not a large area.

so after a couple years will the hair grow back thinner? and on average how long will it take for hair to grow back in the eyebrow region.

thanx

xx

I found a wonderful article which may answer the majority of your questions (see below). I suggest reading it to get the best possible answer to your question. However, I'll try to summarize it below.

Hair does not grow back thinner or finer after plucking. The hair follicle continues to produce the same type of hair that you removed.

As for growing back slower, this may just be a result of the fact that the entire hair shaft is removed from the follicle. As the follicle regenerates the hair, the growth beneath the skin is (obviously) not visible. So while your hair may be growing back at the same rate, you're not aware of the growth until it rises above skin level.

Interestingly (and thankfully) enough, eyebrow hairs are the slowest growing hairs on the body. The article I suggested said that eyebrow hairs take anywhere from 56-64 days for regrowth.

Lastly, hair will not regrow if the follicle has been damaged (by laser hair removal for example). Both waxing and plucking have the potential to cause damage to the follicle because the hair shaft is being torn from its root.

I hope this was helpful. Best of luck!

Regrettably, no. Seems like the only eyebrow hairs that won't grow back from over-plucking are the wrong ones.
Quick & easy way to deal with the mono-brow hairs is one of those Finishing Touch personal groomers. [$4 at Big Lots; $10 at WalGreen's]. These things are also perfect for bikini area.

Always be careful plucking your eyebrows, eventually the hair stops growing back.

Plucking is fine, especially in the middle of the eyes, but if you pluck your brows too thin, yes, eventually the hair will get very thin as you age and you will have to pencil in brows.

This is true for me. I now have one brow that is shorter than the other. I have to pencil it in. Do not, by any means, use any device that shaves your facial hair. It will grow back thick and it is very noticeable. Do not shave your eyebrows!

It depends on your hair type..some peoples hair never gets thick. when I pluck mine they grow back thinner but they are darker. you'll just have to try it and see.

yes u r right. but if u r afraid of this, use a shade darker then ur actual color brow pencil in ur brows b4 sleeping...(thick kohl pencil is best thou), after few weeks... u will see ur brows darker and defined.

tweezing always makes ur brow hair suffer. go to any pakistani or indian parlor... they do it with a threat. its a better way of handling ur brow hair.
