I actually have a a degree and I do work. I will definetly look for a job prior to moving and once we actually move, but there are laws in several states that allow military spouses to recieve unemployment due to constant moves. I understand the concern regarding laziness, but that's not the case. Believe me we could not live comfortably on just my husbands paycheck alone!

Georgia because that is the last state you worked in. I lived in Tennessee and then moved to Georgia and I still got my unemployment checks from TN.

Philippine is a sovereign us of a. Our ancestors have fought an prolonged annoying conflict for this. Do you easily have faith that the Filipinos as an entire could stand being below u . s .? we have not even remedy the difficulty with our brethren down south who want their own us of a. If the human beings made a referendum after the war, whether to make Philippines as a state, i don't think of the filipinos could want to. those days, we are basically speaking approximately financial freedom if we are below american rule. yet can we extremely need some foreigner working our us of a? think of roughly our countrymen who died to take action freedom. damaging aspects? Head of state government will all come from mainland, who won't comprehend the subculture of this us of a. Will the yank government be waiting to handle the extreme unemployment value of the country? Philippine could then be a aim basically like it was once while there became a US Naval base there. A aim to bomb via different us of a who opposes the US. it somewhat is advantageous to assert we are american citizen yet then our nationwide id would be long gone. each and each human beings have different perspectives, there isn't any ideal or incorrect. i'm happy i'm a fililipino even inspite of the shown fact that i'm living in yet another us of a for over 12 years.

If she is forced to move because her husband is serving our country and our government is transferring him, therefore forcing her to quit her job, why shouldn't she get unemployment??? That's one of the most deserving reasons for drawing unemployment I have ever heard... especially considering what the military pays. A married couple can't live comfortably on that kind of salary!

You should file in GA before you move, then notify the WA office as soon as you arrive. You will be paid out by GA but have to report into WA, so they will have to communicate with one another to make sure you are doing the necessary to find yourself a job. Good luck.

You can apply in Georgia where you are now or you can wait until you get to Washington. Washington will work out a state agreement with Georgia and like one of the others said here you will get the amount Georgia would normally give an unemployed worker.

Now as for the others here disreguard whatthe have said. If they were working and had to leave their place of employment because their husband was transferred they would be collecting unemployment also.

My wife worked through out my military career as like all military personell we moved frequently and she changed jobs just as frequently.

I hope that this has been of some use to you, good luck.

Unemployment is the state taking care of you while you look for a job. To go through all of the paperwork and programs..... could be done. Semms to be and no offence you are missing what a military wife should be. OK you have medical, the commissary, etc. and you are trying to figure out how to get cash? You simply just get a job on base/post and go from there. Yes things will be tough but as the years go by things will get better. Your focus needs to be on your family..... you and he are are a family. I would suggest you move and speak to some of the older wives before you...... you will hamper his career by pursuing this. Not today but it will. Just move and stop trying to money grub as all will be well. You will see. But it would appear that you are unprepared to be a military wife and do not understand what that means! Asking about unemployment...... now that I think about it makes you....... not thoughtful and intelligent.

You can file if you are still in GA, but to be eligible for continuted benefits you have to be available to meet them on appointed dates or show you are actively seeking other work and not be out of state....so you would need to contact the agency where you move to and explain you had signed up in GA, oh and contact GA informing them of your move and your plans that they may be contacted by the other state agency.
Because of your husb being transferred out of state is reason enough for you "losing" your job.
Good Luck in finding new work though

If you are now collection unemployment in GA, you will have to go to the WA officer and notify them, they will work with GA and do a INTERSTATE claim. You will be paid by the rules and maximum payments of GA if that is where you orginally filed.

you're trying to collect unemployment?! why? your husband makes money and is getting BAH and BAS because he is married- that is money intended for both of you to live on.
GET A JOB! bases all have programs and people who can help you get a job. There is a family support center or go to family advocacy or talk the his First Sargent.
you shouldn't get unemployment because your husband is making oney for both of you and you should be working (unless you can't because of an injury, but I'm sure there is SOMETHING you can do)

...the military doesn't condone laziness! and looks down at slackers!

Why are you on unemployment? Your husband works & you should be out looking for a job. There's always a place hiring - whether it's fast food or a grocery store. Don't sit around waiting the unemployment check. Stop watching soaps, get your butt off the couch, & put some effort into finding a job before you turn yourself into a low-life lazy bumb living off of everyone else's money. As soon as you get to WA put your mind to it, start looking for a place to work. Better yourself.
