Why? Because it reflects our cultural level. Go wonder!

When you say "does no one..." you are actually saying the same thing as "doesn't anyone..." So yes, it IS proper grammar, although it's not often used, and is a bit archaic. But I agree, too many people don't bother re-reading something they've just typed, for grammar and spelling. They are in too much of a hurry to slap it in and hit "send."

Hey!!! another believer in good grammar, phew. Are you referring to use of grammar by other users, or the provider?
It is a sign of the times my friend. Shortcuts.
Most of the poor spelling and grammar useage is down to time saving. In fact although the users of this new "languge" feel it is appropriate, including my children, I hold strongly the opinion that it will erode their skills in many areas of socialising eg. one word answers to questions; 'phone manner; notes on the fridge.
I use shortcuts on the mobile 'phone only because of the charges applied to long rambling conversations. I still know how to spell properly and hope my own grammar is passable.
With some users perhaps the shortcut disguises a lack of ability in these areas. So by communicating using our best spelling and grammar are we in fact showing off???

Question: can you tell the age of the person on Yahoo! Answers by their adeptness (or lack thereof) with English grammar? btw-- dyslexics rule where programming and creation is concerned... it's a new paradigm.... and those of us who are so smug about our grammar will see them whipping by, laughing all the way to the bank!
