What for? You're not one of those owners that thinks a muscle dog makes him look cool, are you?
If he's fed a quality diet and gets apropriate exercise, he'll get the amount of muscle that's right for him.

Buy dog food for large breeds. Don't skimp on the price. My breeder told me never to buy the kind of dog food you get at a grocery store. Only feed your dog the best. Right now my dog eats IAMS but she started out on Puppy Pro Plan. Science Diet and Eukanuba are also good. Check the labels because each brand may have several types...go for the one with the highest % of protein. Also, make sure your dog gets lots of exercise so the muscles don't turn into fat.
I hope you are training your dog to be a nice dog.

You don't need to feed him up - they're big muscly dogs anyway.
For up to a year looking up to 25% protein and over a year feed him around 15-20% protein in his diet.
Alternate hill walking with road walking with running around [all different types of exercise] and that will help build his muscles. It works for any dog, simple as.
As for the person above "
Wow....go figure....a ridiculous question from an American Pitbull owner.....DERRRRRR !!!! I fawt we got rid of you lot !"
Different breed Dumb Bi*ch. American Buldogs are lovely dogs, I have one of my own. Get your facts right or STFU.

I dont think really you need to feed him up, You just have to give it plenty of exercise, probably later depending how old it is you could try to get it cart pullin, Bulldogs are powerful animals anyway, having prominent muscle is how there built, They are typical working dogs, check out fordogtrainers.com brill site got some really good things like harnesses you can fit weights onto, but really a good exercise regime does the trick, believe me, dont overfeed it it wont thank you for it

No easy way to make a dog fit (ie muscular). As someone else said, it's exercise, which means exercise for you too. Part of a dog's build is genetic, so you're not likely to get a "huge" dog from spindly parents! Try feeding him too much protein etc. & you'll end up doing more harm than good, so just feed him a good quality food & gently build up his exercise. If he's less than one year old, don't overdo it. Exercise means road walking as much as just letting him run free too.

If you want your dog to be muscular, you need to give your dog plenty of exercise. In addition to that, make sure you are feeding a high quality food and add a small "meatball" to his meal once daily. I would recommend the meatball be raw hamburger (low fat). But the real key is exercise.

Ok, with those you have to be careful. You want them muscular, not fat. I think science diet is great, also make him play alot. Like with people, we work out...we get muscle and lose fat. Feed him the right amount, not too much, not too little and make him play things like tug*o*war, climbing stairs, running, and even swimming would get that doggy fit. Tug of war woks his chest and arms and back thighs. Climbing stairs works all of his leg muscles. Running pretty much works on everything. Swimming will work on his front legs and his stomach and back muscles.

Any dog food high in protein. It also helps to feed him only the suggested amounts and exercise him for muscle growth. If you're a normal size person, try sitting in a wagon (like a child's red wagon) and have him pull you; make sure not to overexhaust him, and give him plenty of water.

oooh another chap with a small willy who gets a big dog to try to fool people into thinking he is macho. Your'e not fooling anyone. Food doesn't make muscles, excersize does.
Whatever you feed, avoid iams or eukanuba.
