Because God is not an object.

...

Also because the Scientific Method doesn't 'prove' anything. It's a way of refining one's theories about the empirical world; it never provides airtight 'proof' of anything at all.

U want a scientist. Here goes:-

here are scientist's comments on God:- http://islamyesterday.com/science/

Existence of God has been proved with scientific method. Even a Genius like Albert Einstein said:- Science without religion is lame. Religion without siience is blind. Many books (if u want fiction, u could take up Angels and Demons by Dan Brown :=) and many of the most famous scientists have a core belief in God. They all say that there is one Divine Origin that is keeping everything in balance. That if the big bang had occured even a minute earlier or later, something would have gone wrong. Consulsion:- there is something out there we don't know anything about.

It is wrong to say that Science is eliminating God. Sceince is only eliminating the models of God. The sun god. the moon god n so on............

Go to www.harunyaha.com go to www.irf.net n download the book, Quran and Science - Compatible or Incompatible. Read the Quran. I ASked this same question n i got theanswer in the quran. (I have read the bible n well...........i don't agree with it)

best of luck

What is the scientific method?

You make your hypothesis first.

Observation

Analysis

Conclusion

There is the problem, your conclusion is already there before you make your hypothesis. You just have to open your eyes! When you start hypothesizing thats when you are led astray by Satan (ie all the atheists thinking their intelligent)

[010:036] And most of them follow nothing but conjecture. Certainly, conjecture can be of no avail against the truth. Surely, Allâh is All-Knower of what they do.

[010:037] And this Qur'ân is not such as could ever be produced by other than Allâh (Lord of the heavens and the earth), but it is a confirmation of (the Revelation) which was before it [i.e. the Taurât (Torah), and the Injîl (Gospel)], and a full explanation of the Book (i.e. the laws decreed for mankind) – wherein there is no doubt – from the Lord of the 'Âlamîn (mankind, jinn, and all that exists).

[010:038] Or do they say: "He (Muhammad [sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam]) has forged it?" Say: "Bring then a Sûrah (chapter) like it, and call upon whomsoever you can besides Allâh, if you are truthful!"

ok lets try to do this through the scientific method.
1. state the problem: trying to prove the existance of god.
2. form a hypothesis: i think god doesnt exist/ i think god does exist.
3. do research: what research could you really do? you could look at the bible which was written thousands of years ago. and the actual gospels were written 60 or even hundreds of years after the death of jesus.(time distorts facts)
4. form an experiment: what experiment could you form to prove the existance of a supernatural force that chooses when or when not to show its self. god isnt a performer
5. form a conclusion: with out an experiment you cant have a conclusion.

god isnt something you can prove or disprove.

When studying Philosophy our Lecturer/Tutor showed how the argument could not be proven. Science requires evidence that can be proven and tested. God is an infinite being, existing in the faith of those who believe in God's existence irregardless of the name of the faith.
Therefore, from a scientific point of view this theoretical persepctive cannot be tested conclusively to confirm the existence of God.
As you can see this argument starts to become circular without a difinitve answer.

There is no scientific proof he does not exist either. Why is this always a question because if people truly believed in science they wouldn't disblieve in God seen God cannot be scientifically proven not to exist either.

Reason science cannot prove or disprove the existence of God? You cannot use something from physical and universal laws or boundaries to discover the intangible not bound by laws and boundries.

He is stretching out the north over the empty place,
Hanging the earth upon nothing - Job 26:7

Written circa 1473 BCE

"Do YOU people not know? Do YOU not hear? Has it not been told to YOU from the outset? Have YOU not applied understanding from the foundations of the earth? There is One who is dwelling above the circle of the earth" -Isaiah 40:21-22

Written after 732 BCE

The shape and positioning of the earth.....not good enough?

Ever heard of the Flat Earth? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flat_Earth

How about Circumcision?

Why did the Law specify that circumcision be done on the eighth day?

Jehovah did not explain, nor was it necessary that he do so. His ways are always right; his reasons, the best. (2Sa 22:31) However, in recent years man has learned some of the physical reasons why the eighth day was a good time to circumcise. Normal amounts of the blood-clotting element called vitamin K are not found in the blood until the fifth to the seventh day after birth. Another clotting factor known as prothrombin is present in amounts only about 30 percent of normal on the third day but on the eighth day is higher than at any other time in the child’s life—as much as 110 percent of normal. So, following Jehovah’s instructions would help to avoid the danger of hemorrhage. As Dr. S. I. McMillen observes: “From a consideration of vitamin K and prothrombin determinations the perfect day to perform a circumcision is the eighth day . . . [the] day picked by the Creator of vitamin K.”—None of These Diseases, 1986, p. 21.

How about airborne diseases?

"And a peg {shovel} should be at your service along with your implements, and it must occur that when you squat outside, you must also dig a hole with it and turn and cover your excrement.
-Deuteronomy 23:13

That is right! Only the Creator would be able to give them commands to protect them. He would know about the spread of disease being spread through airborne microbes.

Regarding Hippocrates, a Greek physician of the fifth and fourth centuries B.C.E. who has become known as “the father of modern medicine,” it is said: “He had no connection with the temple hospitals of his time, which were controlled by the priests of Asclepius, the god of healing.” (The World Book Encyclopedia, 1987, Vol. 9, p. 227) Hippocrates was virtually contemporaneous with Malachi, but much that the Bible says about diseases was written by Moses about a thousand years earlier. Yet, significantly, it has been said: “The best informed medical researchers now doing the best work are arriving at the conclusion that the Bible is a very accurate scientific book. . . . The facts of life, diagnosis, treatment, and preventive medicine as given in the Bible are far more advanced and reliable than the theories of Hippocrates, many still unproven, and some found to be grossly inaccurate.”—Dr. H. O. Philips, in a letter to The AMA [American Medical Association] News, published in its issue of July 10, 1967.

Concerning the Christian physician Luke, who wrote a Gospel and the book of Acts, Dr. C. Truman Davis stated: “Where medical description is given, it is meticulously accurate. Luke uses a total of twenty-three Greek technical words found in Hippocrates, Galen and other medical writings of the period.”—Arizona Medicine, March 1966, “Medicine and the Bible,” p. 177.

This I believe would depend on who you think God is and how limited his powers are. If you have to ask this question then in your mind God has limitations. My God in heaven does have limitations which means that he is above all things. There is no Scientific method for this and it will never be.

If anything is truely a GOD it shouldn't be as simple as proving it's existence by Science or anything else created or made by man.

Because science and the scientific method can only detect that which is real. Seeing as God is not, its kinda hard to test Him....

The Templeton Foundation beleived that God COULD BE tested using a double blind study in prayer. The results were not what was expected and hoped for: absolutely no difference in those prayed for and not prayed for when they were not informed of the prayers, and an actual negative coorelation to those that were prayed for and informed of it - they experienced a higher incidence of complications from surgery. Naturally, since the study yielded negative results as far as CHristians are concerned, they will claim that God cannot be tested scientifically.

My question is: What would they be saying had the study PROVED prayer works? Would they still be denying science's ability to prove God??

Because man's reason is fallen. Before sin God walked with man. After sin the door into heaven was shut. Jesus is the door into heaven now and to know God we must go through Jesus. With our fallen reason we can't know God unless we believe. When you believe in Jesus Christ then you see proof of God's existence all around you. If I told you that a baby's smile is proof that God exists, unless you knew that he exists you wouldn't believe me.

The Scientific Method doesn't prove things, it just postulates on probabilities etc. It offers theories which aren't proof, only suppositions.

Scientifically speaking you could call a spirit pure energy. Einstein’s Theory E is equal to M C-squared …Energy creates atoms, creates matter, all life and objects are made out of matter. Every thing is made up of matter made from energy. God the Holy Spirit would then be also made out of energy. Possibly this energy mass grew and became cognizant and with this energy he created the Heavens and the Earth, Man and all life.

What about physical proof? Your ancient ruins an exact miniature replica of our solar system. Was this just a coincidence? And what about the detailed picture carving in Peru so large they can only be seen from miles above? Possibly just another clue?

Maybe we just aren’t suppose to know. We must learn to interpret the truth for ourselves… "Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find”
