By bad experiences I mean f x things in their childhood such as a death of a family meber, fights between parents etc.

You always hear that boys become aggressive by "bad upbringing" and girls become silent and introverted.
Is this a fair statement?

Is it more common for girls to become introverted than boys?
Why?

You have a good point, I think there is a fine line between the genders when it comes to that stuff. I don't think the sex matters I think it really varies from person to person. Some people are naturally introvert and others are naturally extroverts. I also think it depends on the environment they grew up in as far as what type of school they went to or neighborhood they lived in.
