The problem with this is most women are brought up to me "nice girls". We revel in the societal acceptability of "dating". Any woman that would dream of sleeping with someone without dating him is a slut, whore, etc. Even though dating in the traditional sense involves a man paying for dinner and or a movie (because God forbid a man think of another activity besides dinner and or a movie) and then expecting sex soon thereafter. Considering this scenario which woman is acting the part of the whore?
We are brought up on fairy tales, from Cinderella to the prom to the Mrs. degree and "Happily ever after".
Never mind that the divorce rate is over 50%, never mind that most men cheat never mind that men hate women. That would never happen to a "nice girl" after all she knows how to keep her man from straying and/or hating her because she has read all the fashion magazines, read all the relationship books and put all of her dreams on hold to attract and keep that man.
Men on the other hand are taught selfishness, dominance and deceit. Tell her what she wants to hear (or what you think she wants to hear based upon how women are brought up in this society). Make a lot of money (or lie about making a lot of money) so you can attract and control women. This is supposed to even the playing field so even the most ugly, anti-social and psychotic of men can attract good looking women. The mindset is that looks don't matter for men. The reality is if the aforementioned sentence were true good looking poor men would never attract women. This of course is not true
This being said I agree with the asker. Women date for social status and men date to prove to their friends they aren't gay.
Both sexes should be honest with themselves.
Beauty is not in the eye of the beholder
There is not someone for everyone
"Love" does not conquer all

a mans testosterone levels are much higher than a womans,you have to understand that. women actually think clearly(for the most part) , when they see/talk to a man they like.
