I am new here in Chicago, just moved here 2 days back with my family.I'm living in downtown chicago, at Loop. Would like to know some decent,sophisticated place to celebrate New Year.

Hi - I live here in Chicago too. I would get a copy of the RedEye
and look to see what they have to offer. The local papers
all have New Year's specials. I would take the Metra Train or
other public transportation to avoid other people driving drunk.

There is this church that meets in the Auditorium Theatre in
downtown Chicago on Sundays. It is very inspiring; they help
so many groups. That would be a good place to start the day!!!!

Check in to the Swiss Hotel to watch the fireworks at Navy Pier.

In Arlington Heights they have a hotel with a water park inside it. It is called the Coco Key Resort, and it is in the Sheriden Hotel.

I think Medieval Times in Schaumburg would be a great time with your family! Nothing more exciting that a dinner and tournament!
