Background: I'm 23f, have a bachelor's in chemistry, and am on my way to professional school. He's, 23m, hasn't finished college, and thinks the army and iraq will be good for country to the extent that I'm not sure he values his life. He's also HOTTTT and entertaining.

Should I?
1. Suck it up and keep him in the friend zone.
2. Make this a friends with benefits situation.
3. Take the risk of getting into the relationship only for him to not go anywhere with his life or possibly lose his life or not be the same after going to iraq.

If he is that serious about Iraq u already know 1 and 2 are out cause that is not strong enought o make him stay. 1 and 2 also shows me that u would do anything to have him iin ur life. U would be happy with him. No one should pass up the chance at love. U never know, he might be the one. U do not want that to pass you even though ur young. Being with him might even open up his eyes to seeing that maybe this war is senseless and that helping his country has nothin to do with Iraq. U could show him that there is alot more he could at home in the actuall country he loves. U could bring that about in him. But it appears he hasnt finished college and this is usually the time where the army thing comes in. But instead of the army why not the navy or airforce. He could still serve but in a safer way. If ur looking for love nothing else matters but love. If not I still say go after him ;-)

Is he in the forces allready or wants to join and go over? Either way, he's a pup and doesn't get what it's like over there. I can guarante, if he goes at 23, he'll come back dead or screwy. If not at first, given time. War looks cool on TV but you can't change channels when you're in the middle of one. Watching your friends die around you changes you. And when you're a kid, you can't handle the reality. Tell him to finish his education before even thinking about fighting a stupid war. That way, he's earned something that he could lose. You however, sound far more mature than he is. I'd find a stable guy who know's how to plan ahead.

Let me get this straight, what is point of this relationship?
There ain't a single chick out there who stay loyal to their bf who are in Iraq. I am damn sure u will be same.
Then why go into relationship? Instead just have good sex and move on. I hate chemistry.

To me you should just stay friends with him and not get serious because it will be hurtful in end most of the time and do not be a friend with benifits because it will be just as painful as if you guys were going out. So what i would do is just stay friends with him and nothing less or more.

All of your solutions will result in one thing only:
You wasting time on this ding-dong, which could be better spent finding someone you can actually build a future with.
