House arrest means nothing to the relatives of the people he gassed and killed just because he felt like it. Imprisonment means 4 square meals a day, plus a bed to sleep in, and the cost of which would just burden the new Iraqi government. Do you really think he's entitled to such soft treatment, when he didn't have any mercy on anyone else? In his own language, an eye for eye.
