Yes, anybody that tells you no, is trying to put up a front. It's a needle constantly pricking your skin over and over for like an hour. It's not excruciating, you can handle it, but it does hurt. And it REALLY depends on where you get it. If it's around your arm and once it gets to the soft underside of the arm OUCH OUCH OUCH. And anyplace that's really close to bone hurts a little more too. Legs aren't as bad, and I have one on each shoulder, right above the shoulder blades, specifically for the reason that it's not too flashy of an area and it is a very fleshy part of the body. The pain is worth it though! Get one. I have no pain tolerance and I'm a girl. If I can do it 3 times, anyone can. Just be careful about your placement of it.

If you get the spot where your going to have the tattoo numbed up and then go in and have the tattoo done, it wont hurt as much if it was done without the place being numbed up....no matter which way, the tattoo spot will be sore for several days....

Yes they do. If you remember to breath, you'll be better. I love tattoos but they do hurt. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. If anyone says, "you're a wimp" they're just insecure and can't admit that something hurts them and need to prove to people they're badasses just because they can say something that does hurt doesn't. Imagine a thick needle tearing your skin apart by scratching it up. Yea it hurts. I still love them :)

Depends where you get it done. I got one on my chest and it hurt like a darn! I got some work on my arm though, and it was fine. Also depends on your pain threshold. The only way to really find out is to get it done! Your experience could be very different than another's.

depends on where on your body, the skin condition and your pain threshold. some people say the spine or lower back is the worse place to get a tat, but it really didn't hurt me at all. my shoulder didn't hurt, but i was sweating in a freezing room (and I get cold really easy) when i was getting inked up which was weird. when you get color done, more needles= more pain.

Depends on how much pain you can take....imagine a small needle going in and out of your skin really fast....like if you were to take a shot but very small and alot of times.
