Stop asking yourself when it will stop and take action now. For some people it stops, for some others it doesn't. Because everyones skin is different, some treatments may or may not have an effect on you. I tried proactive, murad, zen med, and other creams and stuff. I did not like proactive because it left my skin very dry plus it did nothing for the scars the acne leaves. But you can try it. One important thing people miss is diet and water intake. Fruits and vegetables give your skin the antioxidants and vitamins it needs to keep it healthy and glowing in the long term. In addition, exfoliating the face at least 2x a week with an appropriate cream followed by a moisturizer helps. For the scars, cocoa butter or vitamin E will help. If you tried all these and your acne condition doesnt improve, run for the dermatologist and beg for accutane. Please have in mind there are other skin conditions disguising as acne as well.

First, coke, chocolate, and stuff like that don't cause acne. It's the grease and stuff from those foods that people wipe on their faces not realizing that they hadn't washed their hands. Second, never put toothpaste on your face, that's just a myth, toothpaste actually makes the acne worse. It's good that you drink a lot of water. I personally use proactive. But you may also go to a dermatologist and see what they say is best for your skin. Either way acne clears up by itself sooner or later anyway. Hope I've helped.

Try washign your face regularly with an ANTI BACTERIAL soap. I have found that these work better than most acne face washes, as acne is caused mostly by BACTERIA.
Also, try dabbing some vitamin E on blemishes at the first sign of them developing.
Steam-clean your pores by filling a large bowl with hot water and sticking your face over the water, under a towel. This will help open your pores and make it easier for you to clean them.
Try to avoid stress also, as this can make you break out even more!

Sometimes you cant do anything for acne to go away. The only thing I have found that really helps my acne is ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS keep your face washed. I mean not all day but do it every night and every morning with your face wash. You cannot skip, even if you are tired. Get up and wash it. i know how sometime is Just don't feel like it, but I do it. My skin will never be clear but it usually is more manageable. Also, don't change your products all the time. Choose one thing and use it.

If you have tried all the meds then you may just have to wait it out. Keep your face clean like you have been and don't pick and squeeze at it. It's bad enough to have acne but you don't want to be stuck with the scars for the rest of your life. Most people grow out of it. Probably not the quick fix you are after but don't let it get you down, heaps of people have acne and lived to tell the tale.

Well my daughter was using proactive until Christmas. I got her a set of Arbonne's "Intelliegence" skin care sys. She's been using it all week and her face is TOTALLY clear. She had like 10 zits when she got here a week and a half ago, now she has NONE.
She was using proactive...supposed to be good, but I guess not for her.
I sell ARbonne, and I'm not trying to spam you, but if you want a sample pack I could mail it to you. Free.
That way you could see if it works for you. The sample pack lasts about 5 days if you poke a tiny hole in the top of the foil packets.
Lemme know....e-mail me if you wanna try it.

If your acne is really upsetting you then your doctor can prescribe some cream that is extra strength on prescription but it must be really bad or really affecting you emotionally for you to get it.
Witchazel (cheaply bought from any chemist) is good for acne as is tea tree oil, these worked better for me than oxy and creams like that.
Keeping your hair off your face and not wearing make-up helps too.

I heard that zits can be a result of dirt on the skin that mixes with hair. You know, the lil faint hairs on your face. My friend had a fairly hairey face, and she had problems with her skin. I'm not really sure if that is true or not.
Take hope. There will be a day when we all have zits no more :)
Good luck and keep your chin up. You are beautiful.
Try the MaryKay stuff...can't remember the name.

you probably should see a dermatologist. (i am a sales person for derm products.) acne has many causes and a dermatologist can address them. he/she should put you on a topical retinoid to work on blackheads/whiteheads and a benzoyl peroxide to work on the bacteria on the face. you could be placed on an oral antibiotic like minocyline to make the process quicker to resolve. also, birth control pills (yasmin is #1 in USA) has an ingredient that reduces acne. good luck!
