MS Office has much better and more features, but it costs more.
So if you only want to do simple things and money is an issue go with Works.

Microsoft Office. Works is essentially a stripped down clunky version of Office. Office is also the standard for the day, and while Works can export in most the formats Office can, Works-only files are not going to be very transferable as relatively few people use it anymore.

Both are excellent, office is more for just that, office type stuff, like spreadshetts and word processing, Presentations through Power point are cool. Works is more user friendly, for creating just about anything graphic you need to create. Hope this was helpful

Microsoft Office
Microsoft Office is designed for buisness, Works is designed for Family.
That should give you a picture.
Office has more features, and has a bigger, better programming team who make it!

office is new and is more common so you don't need to convert your files to be compatible with other computer systems. Office has more functions and better, more updated spell check, language translations and other useful tools. its more expensive for a reason.

office by far. many more features. many more document formats supported. works is the castrated, lobotomized version of office for those who don't know any better.
