The correct Italian is "capisce?" (pronounced "kah-PEESH-er"), but in urban slang (and in all the Mafia movies) it's mumbled down to "capish". Someone mentioned a German word, but the German equivalent would be "kapiert"; so sine from another question of yours I gather you do learn German, too, why don't you surprize your teacher by answering: "kapiert!" ;-)
