the best thing is to be honest and actually do tell him, dont keep putting it off. say you think he's a really nice guy but sorry you don't like him in that type of way. also if you've any single pals it might help...

Be honest but gentle with him. Tell him you like him as a friend but not as a boyfriend. If you are straight with people, they may not like what you have to say but they do respect your honesty and accept what you are telling them. This stuff gets easier with practice, think how you would like to be told something you might not like to hear. Good luck.

I once had a suitor who terribly liked me but I do not have any feelings for him. So whenever he comes to visit me with a dozen red red roses for a whole month. I let him wait in our living room and my parents entertained him. My parents voted for him but I never gave him my attentions until he got tired of visiting me and stopped going to our house.

Limit yourself to being friendly in a civil way. If he pushes tell him kindly that is not where you are at.

Tell him the truth that you just see him as a friend and see what happens from there.

Let him know you are very flattered, and that you like him, too but you are pursuing other relationships at this time.
