how does a girl's room look best?

For an elementary age girl, I think pink, feminine, girly style rooms are the best. Pale blue or green walls, with pink blankets and accessories look adorable.

For a teenage girl, lots of mirrors are key, as well as fun pieces like feather boas, bulletin board with colorful pins, mink blanket, duvet - in a color to suit your walls, cute pillows (your favourite animals, creatures - fairies, butterflies etc). Try not to go overboard, as this will just look stupid and babyish (max 3). Add a really cute clock that has the same color on the outside to match your walls, some cute things like posters and a throw rug if you don't already have them. Most of this can be purchased very cheaply from second hand stores. Or try eBay as you can get some great bargains!

Ask your daughter what she wants, but they do change their styles regularly, so dont get too carried away, simple easy to change things work well, like posters of what ever she is into at the moment, favourite colour schemes without painting the walls drastic colours, keep that pretty neutral to fit with changes that WILL happen, Keep the room tidy and clean and it will always look best

Simple. Uncluttered. Have a place to store all the toys and make it easy for her to clean herslef.

As for colors and decoration, ask the girl what she would prefer. Most like purple and butterflies.... but you might have a tomboy that wants something a little less "girly".
