I have asked a question about him before and you all told me to go for him. I tried to give him a little space but still let him know i really care about him. Lately he hasnt really been a friend to me and i think i should move on but i still really care about him. Well this guy that i kind of dated in the summer and that i also work with has been talking to me and we hung out lastnight...he held doors open for me and we went to his house and watched tv.His friends came over and played halo and we watched them play. he was being super sweet and everything. I dont know. Should i go for the new guy, or wait it out for the one i care about most?

let me know what you think, and if you need more info just ask

honestly, it's time to move on. I had the same exact problem. i kinda fell for my best friend and I told him. He liked me but not enough to commit. so i waited for him for 7 months. it was a long time and i stayed single for him the entire time. he started acting like a total jerk and then 2 weeks ago, this guy asked me out. i liked him too so i said yes. now i'm going out with this guy and my best friend has been ignoring me and going behind my back saying stuff. i just think he's jealous but idk...all in all: i say go for the new guy. it'll be worth it and this guy seems like a real gentleman.

Go with what's working. And clearly, chasing your best friend isn't but the new guy is. Don't try to force something to happen if you've giving this other guy plenty of chances and he isn't going for it. Maybe he only wanted to be friends and now you've freaked him out. Enjoy the new guy and try to just stay friends with your friend. Once he sees you have a boyfriend he'll probably relax and be friendly again.

First things first, NEVER chase a guy.
Life is too short explore the possibilities with the new guy.
"Lately he hasnt really been a friend to me" I think you know have a gut feeling that you should move on. You inner feeling (your spirit) is usually right.

I think that if youd put your self out there for him to know you have feelings for him. and hes not responding, well maybe he just wants to keep you as his friend..
Give him some time but before that be blunt and tell him what your true feelings are and what u want.

five months is plenty of 'chance time' to give your other friend. time to move on if you've got prospects knocking on your door.

Stop hanging on to something that obviously won't happen and find happiness with someone that wants to share it with you.
