but don't look at the real steps, i usually get stuck at step#8 - i make critical mistakes and come across as a stalker

what i would do, is switch step #5 and #7 around, it makes things smoother in the long run, i think..

You won't like this, but you sound like a teen and I remember what I thought like as a teen boy.

Hang out with all your friends. If you are only hanging with the most popular, best dressed, or most attractive girls (and if you feel like you might be a little plain in comparison), you are most likely to fade into the background when a male eye is scanning the crowd for a potential. (A makeover might help, but may not). Most teen-aged boys want the hottest girl they can find, but pretty soon they will learn to stop being pretentious and look for a girl they can 'click' with.

Anyway, hanging out with a varied group of friends gives you the best chance of being noticed somewhere. Maybe the scene you're in just isn't right for the kind of boy you will attract. Plus it will make you more well known and versatile when you leave the narrow-minded world of middle or high school.

Oh, and in the process, just be yourself. Somebody is going to think you are really cool and so different from 'all the other girls.'

First of all, ask yourself why yuo need a boyfriend. If you rush things and get a boyfriend real quick, someone who you don't even like, you will regret later on how you wasted all your time on that stupid boy when you could have made room in your heart for more important people at that time.

A lot of people think that a dream guy will just walk up to them and suddenly their life will be complete. But it isn't the case. You still need to be open to all guys. You can't just be snotty to all guys and think to yourself, "I'm waiting for my dream guy". Chances are, your "dream guy" is in your dreams only!

So just be open to new guys, and if you go to a school try talking to some of them that you think are reasonable and decent. Maybe you could ask a guy to the dance or to a date after a while.
