I need help with my sony cyber shot camera?

MY luggage got lost during a flight and when i got the luggage back my camera was spazzing out. it only loads the pictures onto my computer if i do it manually and it won't load my videos on it at all. i called the helpline and they told me to switch my usb connection to PTP and i did it and it's not working stilll. any help? and can i get the airlines to pay for my camera?
