I love her to death, and when we met she was a bit heavy, but I know that if we both lost some weight, our sex lives would be much better. I know she has a lot of potential to be super hot, I want her to feel good about herself and look good.

Start the diet together. Tell her she's fat and she needs to lose weight and you need to lose weight too. Doing it together is the key to success.

I'm sure some people might tell you you're a pig for asking this, but your concern is completely understood.

The only way to do it and save face is to make it be part her idea. Tell her you'd really like to go to a gym and lose a few pounds....eat better, get healthy, etc. - but you know you'd never be able to do it on your own. At this point, she should jump in and offer to join with you to keep you motivated. Win-win.

If she doesn't offer, you can still ask her to do it...just to help you out. As soon as she sees a size drop of even modest proportions, she'll be hooked and she'll take it from there.

This was actually an episode of King of Queens!

Enter into a commitment with her to lose weight. Never say "you need to lose weight" to her. Preface by saying that both of you would benefit if you dropped a few pounds, and be willing to make it a project for the both of you. Doing something like that alone makes it more boring faster.

Cook for her, the healthy way and take her for LONG romantic walks. Have good sex (it burn calories). Dont tell her to lose weight cause it will only offend her and make her feel bad about herself. Get healthy WITH her and tell he when she looks good or loses weight, she will feel great and keep it up.

You mentioned that you could use to lose a few pounds so why don't you get the ball rolling... start working out and invite her to join you... this should be simple enough and I am sure in won't offend her because it was something you doing for yourself also... and great way to spend time together too... hope this helps... good luck!!!

Suggest you two work out together. My hubby and I did (til I got preggo) and it isn't only healthy but you bond too♥ You can use those two things as selling points. Good Luck♥

Get a gym membership for both of you so you can workout and get fit together. Tell her that YOU want to get fit, but you hate exercising alone, and you want to spend time with her, so she should come to the gym with you and keep you company while getting fit.

Why don't you ask her if she would like to work out with you? Tell her about your wish to loose weight yourself, and that it might be kinda romantic - and above all supporting - if she did it with you. If she's reluctant, you might want to mention the part about the sex life. :)
