Of course. Romance is about excitement, flirtation, adventure. True love is waking up next to the same person with bad breath for 30 years and being glad of it each morning.

My BestF has a saying: true love is blind, deaf and has no sense of smell. That doesn't exactly blend with the ideals of Romance...

You can be in a romantic situation with someone you do not love, sure...romance can occur between people who have just begun dating, long before love may bloom.

i don't understand any of the yes answers to your question. I know personally for myself, that I only want to be romantic with someone that I love. Anything else would be perpetrating a fraud, and I'm not good at being a perpetrator.
