Ok, im not a permenant resident yet but i do have work authorization card so what im trying to find out if i can get a class A or CDL liscense and start working for a trucking company till i get my green card.

Ignore the bad answer above. ^^^

If you have an unrestricted work permit that allows you to work anywhere you can get a license -- CDL or otherwise.

If you're on an H1-B visa you can only work for the employer who sponsored you and only for the position that was on the visa application that the employer filed.

If you don't have a Taxpayer ID Number (looks like a SS# but isn't quite the same) you'll need to get one before you can get a license. Use that in lieu of a SS$ on the license application.

No. If you don't have a green card, you're not legal and can't get any kind of license, let alone a class A. Get your green card, learn how to spell "license" and ask again then.
