A palm tree - the salty air, warmth, humidity, a sandy beach.....what could be better?!?!?!?

As a tree lover my answer is : each person is different from others with regard to senses, appearances, thoughts, abilities etc like tree species. A plane tree represents endurance whereas boabab, bottling feelings up; a fruit tree has fruits but weak against bugs etc the list continues. Therefore everybody should explore himself and find out which tree species he corresponds mostly. The best answer is the answer of the greatest explorer (of himself). Nevertheless my answer is pine.

I would be a Maple.

Small, barely noticeable strings of tiny green flowers in Spring only for the observant, who need no showy glory to herald the changing seasons.

Buds scaled with geometrical precision as symetrical as the top of the chrysler building, the mark of ages of evolution.

Maple sap charging up my trunk before the other trees are awake, a feast for any living thing smart enough to tap and my sweetness, showing my generous nature.

Winged seeds flung about my roots to feed the animals of the forest. Only 5% of the seeds I make have the genes for producing chloropyll, and none of the ones that don't could ever hope to survive, so they are a gift to the hungry.

Green leaves spreading their wide palmate hands over the field on my wide branches to shade what comes to me for refuge from the Summer sun.

A broad, strong trunk gnarled at the bottom near the roots, enduring for hundreds of years.

Beautiful flame red, orange, and golden leaves falling in the autmn to blanket the ground with wonderous colors.

And when I finally fall in the end, fine, strong even colored wood, prized everywhere for its beauty (furniture) and durability (gymnasium floors).

Giving in life and in death.

Weeping Willow, not because I'm sad or anything, I just think they're really beautiful trees. One of my neighbors has one and it's just so awesome when it's hanging down to the ground, it creates like, it's own private little part of the world inside. Yeah, I love that tree.

Coast Live Oak

Not only are they beautiful to behold -- each one has its own character -- but they provide food and shelter to hundreds of species.
