Its my 30th birthday soonish and Id like to go for a nice meal n drinks with a few good friends..anyone recommend anywhere nice and reasonably priced in Croydon or nearby?

OK - here are a few suggestions:
Chateau Napolean on Coombe Lane.
Not as good as it used to be, but still OK.
Failing that - catch a train to my home village of Banstead and go to the new Post Restaurant on Banstead High Street by TV Chef Tony Tobin.
