I know Saddam has killed and terrorised thousands but I do not agree with the death penalty especially when it is a farce orchestrated by the Americans and the British! This whole war with Iraq is nothing but a desire for oil control and more power. If Bush and Blair are so concerned about human rights why don't they do something about other countries leaders who are equally evil towards their people?! It is all hypocrisy and power!!!

saddam wont hang today, i dont think. i, like you don't agree with the war in Iraq. I support our troops because they are doing what they are told, I have 5 family members there now, that have been there once or twice, one of them three times, I have a brother and two good friends and my husband have all been there at least once, but are home now. I DO NOT support bush's decisions, in iraq. But I also don't think its fair to say the world would be better off without america

Wo you are way behind. We have been discussing it all day on here. Half the world is out celebrating and the other half are waiting until the rope tightens around his murderous neck. I don't think anyone is shocked to hear the news. The people in the main in Iraq are delighted too. It won't create civil war but it may enrage his last few supporters. Your talk of nuclear war is ridiculous and you know it. There have been troubles in the middle east as far as man has, known history, and probably always will be. As far as human rights go he has been treated with all the humane rights layed down in law. Where have you been to have missed it all?

I think they're giving Saddam the easy way out. I mean he didn't quite have any remorse over his victims so why should he be given the easy way out so quickly. He should be left in jail for the rest of his life to think about his consequences.
Bush may of made mistakes but thats not the reasons for Saddam's doings and i do not believe the world would be a better place without America either.

The news is saying that Saddam is going to swing very soon. From where I am sitting, this could be a very bad thing for a whole lot of folks. The killing of Saddam is not going to put an end to the war. In fact, it may form more of a solidarity among the other Arab nations. I see a consolidated Arab state to be the beginning of the end for the world that we now know. When Saddam dies he will die in the eyes of many, a martyr. Be it my opinion, but when he swings the violence is going to increase to a level not seen in this war so far.

Get real! He should be raped then killed. He did it to others. As I recall he also nerve gassed a few people. Your master is going to hang. Personally the spark has gone out. Why nuke Iraq? . we will just patiently over the years get his supporters. As you posted here, we now have your isp address heh. Human rights? as your a Saddam supporter you don't know what the term means. Hide we know where you are.

It's ironic that Saddam is to be hanged by the same laws he created. But yes, it is a bit shocking, although not really to be unexpected. Anybody who thinks this is an Iraqi affair is blind, America has been behind the whole trial and now want Saddam hanged as they think then his followers will give up.
I don't think the world would be a better place without America, however I feel they need a President who has a higher IQ than your average 14-year old.

I agree I don't think its a good idea at all.
It will only lead to more hatred, I'd love it if they showed the world how mercifully they could be and promote peace and forgiveness instead. Think your wrong about a tactical nucleur strike anywhere in the middle east, especially since there's over a trillion dollars in the U.S. economy that comes from the Saudi's.
Yes, I used to be ignorant an get up an hour earlier everyday just to hate the U.S. a little bit longer, but its like Blair, were not all like that neither are they.
If people could see it for what it really is, corporations not countries maybe we'd all be better off.

Saddam needed to be out of Iraq . just ask the poor people of Iraq all this killing is not from Bush its from the others trying to rule like Saddam they are control freaks.
& America is a great Country
& saddam was paying suicide bombers to kill people in Israel
& he was ruling his own people with an iron fist of fear death & torture
