Verpiss Dich Meaning

It is a rather unfriendly way of telling someone to beat it/get lost. I found the answer that mixed up "verpissen" and "vermissen" interesting; it reminded me of demonstrations against government ministers etc. where the following was chanted:
"XY [name of the particular person], verpiss dich, / keiner vermisst dich" (XY p*** off, no one will miss you).

The first answer is right. It's German.

It literally means "wee you!", but is the German equivalent of "wee off!"
