If man was made from dirt and woman was made from a rib?

Question

Why do both turn to dirt when they decay? Shouldn't female corpses turn to ribs?

Does this mean that all the human skeletons that we find are female? Or do they belong to men who weren't holy enough to turn to dirt?

The female was not made completely from ribs, she was made from dust just like man. The reason God took one of Adams ribs to create woman was to symbolize the holy bond that should be between a married man and a woman. This is why a woman has one extra rib even today, but the rest of her is made from dirt, just like the man.

I think both male and female were made from dirt (clay).

The female being made from a man's rib is used metaphorically i believe to say this:

That the woman is not below the man.
That the woman is not above the man.
That the woman is under the arm of the man (meaning men have to protect their women)
And that the woman is near and the protector of the man's heart, without her we would be heart broken.
