First she thought it was pink eye, so she gave me an antibiotic, when that failed she gave me Lotemax ( a steriod) and drops for eye dryness, they got better temporarily but the redness returned. Then she prescribed Patanol, an allergy eye drop which made them really worse so I only used that once. Anyone else know what I should do?

Patanol shouldn't worsen your eyes... try using them twice a day for a few days. Patanol is not an "immediate relief" product. You have to give it a chance to work.

After you have tried it for a few days, contact your doctor again. You might consider being seen by an opthomologist instead of a general practitioner.

Go to a certified Ophthalmologist. That is an eye specialist that is an MD. My eyes are red alot but also dry. I went to an Ophthalmologist and he diagnosed chronic dry eye. He said to try washing my eyes out with baby shampoo every day. It doesn't sting and it stimulates the eyes to produce tears which are a natural defense against allergies and bacteria. Sounds crazy but it works. He said he preferred that treatment over prescription drugs which he would give me if the baby shampoo therapy didn't work. You really need to be checked out by a specialist though as it could be something totally different, serious or not.
Hope you get some relief soon. Blessings!!!

Maybe it's perfume, or accumulated dust in the house, sensitivity from the computer monitor, or the lighting in your house,It could be a combination of things.
