whenever i have my arms bent, and then straighten them out, my elbows pop.
it causes no pain, but every once in a while it gets kinda uncomfortable for that split second.
what causes this?

mine do too. kinda annoying.
its not bad for your joints, all the noise is, is the cartilage between the bones moving. I don't know why things start popping but it isn't easy to stop once you start

If the elbow popped the way ours do sometimes, and the way our knuckles crack sometimes, it could just be the synovial fluid in the joints (that is what causes our joints to crack). I know I spelled the word wrong, sorry! If that is the case, then it is nothing to worry about. However, if there is any swelling or inflammation or even tenderness in the area (if you touch it the dog backs away, for example) it should be looked at. Also, if your dog is limping or favoring it in anyway, please see a vet. My boyfriend and our 10 month old boxer puppy wrestle all the time, sometimes it gets rough. My puppy loves it!! He is even learning grappling moves, ready to fight with the UFC :) Dogs are used to rough-housing, just watch puppies play together, from the time they are young. They aren't china -- aren't very breakable! Good luck!
