I've been single for the past 2 years and I'm kind of getting tired of being alone. I've never dated much because I'm the sweet and shy type. Guys have always waited to let me know they were crushing on me until I was with someone else. I've gone out on dates and I always give a guy a few dates to give him a fair chance. But nothing clicks for me. I don't go into dates looking for a relationship, I believe it should just happen. I either get guys trying to push me into one or guys that are just playing. I don't want to settle for someone just because I don't want to be alone. What should I do?

Keep at it. Go on dates to enjoy them and have a good time. Don't treat them like a job interview. It just takes time. Remember it's the journey, not the destination that matters.

And get a cat. A dog is good...but they'll love you no matter what. A cat takes more work and patience. More like a person. They are great companions and you can learn alot from them about people too.

Keep doing what you're doing!!!

Too many women dive into whatever relationship they can find 'cause they can't stand being alone for a single weekend. I've seen many friends get hung up on the first guy that looks twice and it always comes back to hurt them.

I know being alone is tough. I haven't dated in many months and it gets old real quick. But, like you, I'm choosy. I know that when I do meet someone who really peaks my interest it will be worth the wait!

Keep going out, have fun, don't take dating too seriously. Let it come to you and you will thank yourself for the patience.
