i am a prep but i was recently dared to go to hot topic and purchase something.i have never steped a foot in that place and i acepted the dare. but now i am wondering if i go there will i get made fun of or something. even though i am always go to abercrombie i never really care about others. should i give up?

The clientel of Hot Topic is sooooo much less likely to make fun of a prep who enters the store than if the opposite were to take place. If a punk or hard core rocker were to walk into abercrombie there would be stares, looks and snickers probably pointing as well. They would be the ones being made fun of. The very fact that it takes a Dare for you to walk into Hot Topic proves your friends think the Hot Topic clientel are freaks

I'm preppy but I go into hot topic all the time. You can find some cute stuff all your friends shopping at abercrombie and ae won't have!!! Besides it's way more fun to step out of your label and be you. and I've never been made fun of for it.

If you like something, dont not get it or do it or what ever just becasue you are afraid to mess up your imagine! you live once, ENJOY it...
if you are too scared to go back into the store, but like it, visit their website and shop at home!
If you dont have a credit card go to accountnow.net and apply for a prepaid master card, you will get approved and then load money up and go!

What is it with store phobia! Lol. The only freaks in hot topic are the employees, I'm goth, and I'm even scared of them. Be cool, go in there. I have plenty of prep friends that go in there. Don't do it as a dare. -.- Just to let you know, I hate stereotypes. Don't judge a book by it's cover girl. Learn that life lesson and maybe you'll get alittle farther in life.

You're only who you are. You shouldn't care too much about what others think of you because you have the freedom to do whatever you want. And, I'm like you sadly and I hate to admit it. But, people don't refer to me as a prep because I've got a good heart. You should shop where you like. If it's hot topic that you like, so be it!!!

easily it isnt poserish, because i bypass into warm topic each of the time and that i also bypass into Hollister each of the time, merely because i love 2 diverse kinds doesnt make me a poser, sorry i love donning mind-blowing colorings and pay interest to heavy metallic and purchase band tees. And are you in center college or sumthing because very last time i checked extreme schoolers were given over pathetic stereotypes a lengthy time period in the past

Life is not a fashion show and as soon as you leave h.s. you'll realize that cliques don't actually exist in real life. Just be who you are regardless of how much something costs, who cares if someone makes fun of you? Teasing never killed anyone!!

just because you buy something in hot topic doesn't mean you will get made fun of! one of my friends is a prep and she bought a belt in there because she thought it looked cool!
