Ok, literally EVERY grocery store I have been to has INDIVIDUAL bottles of RED, YELLOW, and GREEN food coloring available, but they never carry INDIVIDUAL bottles of BLUE. The ONLY way I can get blue, is to buy a food coloring BOX SET which contains all 4 colors.

Why is individually bottled blue food coloring so difficult to find?

Try a craft store. They should have many different colors. I found a purple one there.

It's just not a standard top seller, I guess. If you go to a specialty store or craft store, you can find every color. Also, try the paste style food coloring, large tubes in every color of the rainbow. Happy holidays.

At one point it was outlawed. Couldn't even have blue berry popsicles, or blue Kookaide. I think it had something to do with a product called "bluing" which was poisonous, and they didn't want an accident to happen if products were also colored blue.

Because time after time tests have proven that people do not like blue food. This is why large quantities are not sold.

I find that strange myself as my favorite color is blue as is my name.

Go to Micheal's in the cake section. They should have it. Or just break down and buy the 4 pack. What can it hurt?
