"French-kissing" and "making-out" are two entirely different actions. #1: French kissing involves kissing your beloved open-mouthed and the two of you exchanging both saliva and an attempt to exchange tongues as well. #2: Making-out involves BOTH kissing(french, body parts or otherwise) as well as some serious mutual body-part groping and fondling with maybe some rather intimate contact of the genitalia areas of both partners.

Making out is just a term for a long period of time kissing weather that be french kissing or any other style of kissing you do.
Its were both people are engulfed into one another passionately kissing usually with alot of touching and hugging as well.
