im guessing that you are under the age of 18 so im going to answer this the kid way... most men do that because they want to try and show off and play the hardcore side when there not and you have to remember that men are simple they dont know how to act around some women... and they try to be funny when they arent...

Well, depending on the age of the individual in question, it varies. For some guys, they flat out do not have the emotional maturity to be anything BUT mean-hearted and hurtful. On the flip side of the coin, it could be the guy's parents did a real crappy job of raising another human being. For a few rare and (fortunately) once in a blue moon encounters, the guy is just an absolute A**MUNCH who should be not only avoided like the plague, but also kept away from small children and prevented for the rest of their natural lives from breeding!!!!!

Because not all guys are gentlemen and compassionate or have good manners, most guys these days are blockheads and they need lessons of good manners. Or maybe you didn't make yourself clear about your feelings to him. Some guys really do need a simple answer.
