It's tough to convince folks of even the most logical, sane thing when they are under tremendous stress. If he tends to believe someone who tells him something just because they tell him, it'll be a tough go. Perhaps an attorney with his head screwed on could make some progress with him. If nothing else work, have him talk with child protective services who have a BIG interest in protecting the child and will investigate. Be aware though that it's likely officials will come to a rational conclusion regarding her abuse of the kid, that's not a certainty.

HE needs to get a really good lawyer fast. Just be there for him as much as possible and incourage him that everything will all worek out. Try not to down the sisterinlaw too bad in front of him because he may still have feelings for her and you don't want him to turn his back on you. God, prayer and family is what he needs most, give him his space when he needs it as well. Goodluck!

If she is really abusing the baby have him to go to the department of human services. They will go out and check and if the mom is abusing the child or neglecting it they will take the child out of there, giving the child a chance to be with it's father granted he is able to take care of it. Good Luck

I'm confused who is she legally married to your brother or the other guy? Your brother needs to sort it out for himself and he will in his time. Then he needs to get a lawyer.
If the child is being abused or neglected it needs to be reported to the state no matter whose child he is and hopefully he will get some protection. Good Luck.

There must be an agency in your city, or town that can help you with this matter. Find out immediatly before she really hurts the child.

THE FIRST THING THERE SHOULD BE A DNA TEST. IF ITS HIS BABY AND SHE ABUSES THE CHILD, HE NEEDS TO PROVE THAT SHE IS ABUSIVE AND TAKE THE CHILD.ALSO YOU SHOULD REPORT HER, BEFORE SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS
