well i think its a good sign, i mean if he feels comfortable talking to you of course it will be easier to like you. after all the foundation of every relationship is friendship, and once you have that you can tell each other anything. so yes, guys do like girls they can feel comfortable talking to.

Yes, if he said that your in. Everyone needs someone to talk to and not everybody can expresss themselves with friends. Communication is very important in every kind of relationship. It has to be a good thing also because it's hard especially for men to open up in relationships but if they do it's a good thing. Once he opens up to you then he knows he could trust and then he could further the relationship.

Not necessarly, some guys might just find you to be a good friend. But this "you are so very special to me" is something odd. Most guys wouldn't say this without hinting at intrest. So I do think he thinks of you more than a friend.
