okay, I bought my mom some cheapo digital camera. It's an Argus DC-1512E and it didn't come with a disc to load it onto the computer. So I put search new hardware or whatever it's called, and it says it cannot be found even though it pops up. So I tried putting it in under another camera name and it still says that it cannot be found. So I tried just going to Scanner and Camera Wizard, and it still doesn't work. So how do I get the pics onto my computer?

Thanks!

It doesn't use a memory card. It doesn't even let you see the pictures you took on the back of it.

Try the WWW site below, and type in the model of your camera in the appropriate box. It had the driver for your camera in Windows and Mac versions.

I make no promises for the site - I found it through a search engine, and never used it myself (but will in the near future for an old digital camera I have at home).

You'll have to clear out any of the other drivers you installed for the camera....

If the camera has a removable memory card, I have to agree with the other poster that using a memory card is the easiest way to transfer pictures from the computer..

If the camera uses an external memory card, just pop the card into a memory card reader and voila! you're in business.

If you're not that lucky, then I would check the manufacturer's website for drivers and/or software for that specific model.

Cheers and good luck!

I don't know. I haven't used one before.

But, are you using a memory card to store the pictures? you can buy on sale sometime a card reader that you put the memory card in and plug to the computer as a USB and cut, copy and past the photos to your desktop. small memory card maybe $15-20 and a card reader $10 .
