Well first of all she has to have an ID to get a marriage license. Secondly if she is illegal when the time comes, even if she went back to her country and applied legally they will look at the date of marriage. If someone marries a foriegn national and decides to bring them to the states it can take literally years. The laws have changed recently. And it takes a lot of money and time...... visiting offices, paperwork and such. Not a good way to start a marriage and few relationships survive it. If she truly loves you and you her she will go back to her country. You go and get married there and then begin the process. You really need to make sure to do this right. One thing is are you prepared for all of this and absolutly sure? Marriages break up for less than this. On one note...... if she is Russian or European there are things to do to make this easier. If she is hispanic it will take more. Bottom line........ she is willing to do it right because she loves you and then you will know you have a good foundation for a great marriage. If not.... well you will find out.

You can marry anyone you like, but it will not insure that your illegal will get to stay in your country. In America, there is still an immigration process they, and you must go through. You will get surprise visits to your home, and be checked out by Immigration, to make sure the marriage is valid, and that you are living as a married couple. If you have received money from your illegal to marry them, than you're in BIG trouble! You will be found out. It may even take years for them to be recognized as legal. If your illegal has a criminal background, they will be deported, regardless if they married a citizen. You should think REALLY hard before you do this.

The correct answer is Yes, because once you marry one they BECOME legal. And of course she wouldn't have a visa she's illegal. But if you really love her, then marry her. She will be a legal citizen then! (If you are legal.) And, yes it does make them a citizen of the United States (unlike the person above me said)

No I can not because I am already married...
However, if I was not married than I could marry an illegal alien and depending on their country of origin it may give me citizenship to their country but it will not give them citizenship to the United States. I am not sure as to other countries policies.

Sure you can, but that DOES NOT make her a legal resident. After you're married you are going to have a lot of work to do in getting her status legalized. You'll need the services of a good immigration attorney.

Of course you can. But plan on being separated for a year while they have to go back to their country and wait for a visa to come back here.
